Gecco Corp. Reveals AMON from The Series Devilman

Gecco Corp. has revealed their wonderfully creepy statue of “Amon: Apocalypse of Devilman” from the anime and manga series from Go Nagai, Devilman. The 1/6 scale (46 cm high) statue of Amon is made from polystone and has been sculpted and painted by Shinya Akao/HEADLONG and Katsushige Akeyama. The sculpt of the statue is wonderfully detailed and captures the eerie slenderness of Amon from Magai’s artwork as he stands atop a huge demon skull that’s attached to the base.

The statue is priced at $299.99 and is planned to release this summer in July, 2007. You can pre-order the statue now off of Gecco Corp’s website.

“Devilman” is a ground breaking comic series created by master manga artist Go Nagai, who marks his 50th anniversary as an artist in 2017. Many spin-off works have been released by various creators, and “Amon: Apocalypse of Devilman” is one of them. In this story, the mighty demon fighter “Amon” is fused with a human named Akira Fudo which we’ve recreated as a fine art polystone statue.
